tiba-tiba2 terngiang-ngiang kata-kata Haji
Mohd Rizal Hassan
semasa first time attend PLF program which is "Always check your niat, always check your niat" Rasa macam in any quadrants we are in, the needs to always check the intention is crucial so that SOIF remains SOIF throughout the process?

After reading the SOIF Model that Muna sent, I see that Strength & Improvements are under the power of Influence while Opportunities & Faith are under the power of Confluence.
Inf
luence:
a. Strength is the ability to control and use what present advantages you have. If you can't control it, it's not a strength. If it's in someone else's control, it's not your strength.
b. Improvements is the ability to drive change and decide what you want to do and how to do it. If you cannot drive change, you cannot improve. If someone else decides what you improve in, then it's not an improvement of your strengths, but of theirs.
Confluence:
a. Opportunities is the coming together of events preordained by Allah to form an opening of benefit for you. If it forms elsewhere, outside of the range of your strength and improvement, it's an opportunity for someone else. This is rizq and you have no right to try to steal someone else's rizq (you can't anyway). You cannot just 'work' for this, but you need to attract it, to ask for it from Allah.
b. Faith is the coming together of several beliefs that serve to strengthen each other. By this way, Allah increases your faith in a particular action. You have no power over your faith as it is Allah's pleasure whether you believe or not. You have to ask, by istikharah or supplication that He guide you and strengthen your resolve in a particular matter.
Influence is something within your control (Allah gave you responsibility over it and what you do with it). Confluence is something outside of your immediate control. It needs a coming together, of events and of beliefs. It needs you to approach Allah to make it happen.
But first, you need to know your strengths and show effort to improve yourself because Allah does not change you for the better unless you first change it yourself. Nor does He change you for the worse, except that you began the process yourself.

, please advice on the worksheet design. How can we put the Influence and Confluence factor into the worksheet.
And please add up your "Influence & Confluence" factors into the write up, Ok?

Muna
, I was typing that at about 2am, so I was struggling to find the word. Influence and Confluence are not factors, they are dimensions.
I was waiting for
Rizal
or yourself to
debate the concept as I feel it is half formed. If you accept it as is, then there's another element to this, the 3rd dimension, which I call Fluency, where Influence and Confluence meet: Strength meets Opportunity or Faith, or Improvement meets Opportunity or Faith.
When Strength sits on the same dimension as Opportunity, you get an immediate win. If your strength is exactly what the Opportunity needs, then you can go ahead with an execution of something. When it lacks something, then you need to refer to Improvements.
The SOIF can be a dashboard (as they call it in the business world), which gives you a snapshot of how you are currently doing. A weekly SOIF or a monthly SOIF carefully documented can chart a development path.
Proof that you're developing is when the points identified in Improvements begin moving to the Strength quadrant as a solid fully developed point and becomes more aligned with the Opportunities. When this sync or alignment happens, I call it Fluency, or bahasa mengaji "Lancar".
The same; when Strength meets Faith and for example, you have the skill to write (strength), but you don't feel motivated to write (faith), you refer to Opportunities. What opportunities are out there increase your faith? (e.g. Find resources or friends who can inform and convince your about the types of books that are in trend and if one of them is a field you can write about) in order to strengthen your faith. Proof that you're succeeding is when the points you identified in Opportunities begin moving to Faith as concrete beliefs.
When Improvement meets Opportunity, and you find "Become an accredited NLP Practitioner" in (I), and "Have enough savings for NLP course", "Have free time to attend course" in (O), they are in sync and you can proceed to improve yourself. But, if you're missing "Have free time", you need to look into your Faith quadrant and find things that can increase your opportunity such as "I believe my boss will appreciate my productivity if I can go for this course" (therefore, you can sell the idea and book time off to go.
This concept is messy in text, but I'm preparing a graphic to illustrate this. It looks very workable and is sourced from and similar to the Tanah, Api, Air, Angin decision making model I use.
If you remember, I had missed the PLF Program twice, but the third time, I made sure to keep bugging Rizal to find out when the next one was and sold the idea to my boss 6 months before, booked time off and saved up money for the course. I believe this part of the SOIF model is workable and can be used as both a decision making model and a dashboard.
