Yatie Ramlee

Assalamualaikum wrmth wbkth. Dear PLF Family

My youngest son is interested to study aircraft maintenance. He is now doing Asasi Sains in Engineering and Computer Science in UIA P.Jaya. Does anyone know how and where he could pursue his dreams in aircraft maintenance. TQVM.

Mohamad Sholihin Abdul Aziz Kalau tak salah saya, UniKL is still the best in Aircraft Maintenance. Once completed, the student can opt to sit for an exam to be Certified as Aircraft Maintenance Technician which are marketable worldwide.

Intan Kamariah Assalamualaikum, dear Yatie Ramlee, I'm giving my opinion base on my working experience and inside information both in UniKL & UPM. Firt of all, if your son is really keen on aircraft maintainance, UniKL will be the perfect fit. Because they do have certificate in Aircraft Maintainance which the skills are accepted internationally. Regarding the fee, if both of u and your husband has below than 10 k per month income, most likely your son will entitle for convertible study loan by MARA. (will cover study fees & hostel, plus pocket money if parents have lower income). The advantage of MARA convertible loan is, the loan repayment can be reduce into 50- 90% of total overall loan, or even convert to scholarship if the student pass with flying colours :). If your son study in local IPTA, the main resource for study loan is PTPTN , or better JPA (but it's very competitive to get the JPA scholar). Hope this explaination helps you and your son.
