  Mohd Nadzrin Wahab Some people might be surprised your father allowed total strangers in your house and since you didn't mention any other males present, might compound the security issue.
  
  Generally, what your family did is super rare. Most people I know are now afraid of practicing Omoiyari because they aren't prepared to defend themselves if the other person turns out to be a less than good person.
  
  I've found husnul zhon attracts goodness from people, and that becomes the first line of defence. Treating the other person as if they were good people, irrespective of what they were in the past. Any evil intentions seem to disappear as soon as they're treated well.
  
  In the event that they go ahead with their nafs and attack or transgress any boundaries, then a security-minded family would be able to back up their omoiyari.
  
  In the houses of most 'alim I've met, there is such a sense of husnul zhon that I can't imagine any evil lingering comfortably in there. Their first line is the spiritual security of the home itself, which is lit with and guarded by iman. To be fair, most of them are themselves pendekar.

  Nura Muna Abdul Halim Alhamdulillah... My Abah has strong intuition most of the time. Bad things rarely happen to us or when it happened, we overcome and laugh at it. Fun.
