Salam family :-) i read that another plf had to pull out from 3.0 due to a family event. That weekend is the first weekend of ramadhan, perhaps many will be spending time with family, balik kampung etc. May i suggest, if we want many to benefit and learn from the event, then we postpone to after raya. Else, if its just about the plfs' experience to present, be coached or obtained mastery, then we proceed even if it means the audience are just rizal, rohaya and cutest baby 'afifi :)
So what say you? (ala ala lord aregon in return of the king hehe)

  • Mohd Rizal Hassan I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to this posting. This posting reminded me of the time during my teens when I came home telling my late mum that I had already eaten my lunch with my friends only to see that she had prepared all kinds of dishes for me on the dinning table. I will always remember that look she gave me, the look which said, "After all that time I slaved in the kitchen, now you tell me!" You would know that look too, I'm sure.
    OK, the event is postponed until YOU (all speakers of 3.0) can agree to a new date.
    Our learning out of this is, before we commit to something, let us all be well aware of the work some people do to make the thing that we committed to, work: Dates were blocked, meetings arranged, deposits made, discussions had, posters designed, etc. Lots of work and effort indeed.
    For this particular event, Mohd Nadzrin Wahab and Aryll MonsterGergasiplayed an important role to drive it. We would want to emulate this spirit they've displayed, I'm sure.
    Therefore I would like to suggest all the speakers who were supposed to come together and present on 3.0, including those who pulled out, to plan when 3.0 is going to happen and to make it happen, InsyaAllah. So I ask you now, who shall drive this?

    Assalamualaikum :)

    You have already been forgiven for asking a question/suggestion you gave little though to, to the effort already put in ever since the time we all (    presenters especially) agreed on the date of the showcase. The only reason I wanted you to put it up on our forum was I wanted to see if the family saw it the same way, and clearly, quite a number did! And Alhamdulillah, we all found learning from this, and this would not have happened if you had not asked the question/suggestion in the first place ;) Thank you, Maria. I am grateful :)

    Your intentions were sincere and I assumed as such. Your apology today has sealed this assumption as Fact :) Alhamdulillah :)

    Wallahi, all has been forgiven very quickly, Maria. Like the story of my mum which I wrote in the tread, she had forgiven me by dinner time ;) After all, we are family, yes? ;)

    My Learning:




    We want to be aware that when a commitment is made, many arrangements, some unseen, are put into place. Appreciate this.



    Ask, and ye shalt learn. Ask about what arrangements have been made and wait for the response before suggesting an idea.



    Pause (Toma'ninah) before quickly agreeing to anything. People forget to think when they are emotionally aroused ;)



    Be careful when you 'follow je' for the majority may have been misguided.

    Now, let us all get our minds in sync again:




    FACT: The Showcase was initiated by Nadzrin and Muna once upon a time ago for the purpose to gather PLFs in one place so that it would be easier for me to coach them or audit them for Mastery.



    FACT: Opening up the showcase to members of the public was an after thought, hence it is not a prerequisite of organizing a showcase.



    FACT: Pulling out of the showcase will always be the speakers' choice as much as it was their choice to be a presenter in the first place, thus this choice is always respected without question. At the same time, even if all 10 speakers pulled out for whatever the reason, we would all be responsible to find replacements quickly instead of suggesting the showcase be postponed.



    FACT: PLFs who want to be coached and audited for Mastery should take charge to organize THEIR OWN Showcase only because it is they who want to be coached and audited anyway. Nadzrin and Muna and everybody else for that matter will play their own respective role to help out when they can. Take Charge Sdn Bhd is already financing the event plus the video recording that goes with it. So no Bangaus about it. PLFs presenting take charge lah! ;)

    For now, 21-22 July is OFF. Choice #1 is PLFs presenting in Showcase 3.0 (including those who pulled out) find another date. Choice #2 is we put all our energy and effort to promote the PLF Showcase on 17-18 Nov and make it the grandest PLF event yet ;) For your info, our family members would have increased 3 fold by then, InsyaAllah, as I would have completed 3 PLF Programs by then! ;)
