One of my Silat mentors, Toyer Farrath, posted this today.

Toyer's desk on interpersonal relationships:
Be happy for people even if it does not fit with your way of thinking.
Some points:
. Try really hard to keep your opinion to yourself.
. Once it's out, you can't take it back.
. Keep biting your tongue before expressing your feelings.
. What you feel or think will show in your face and your actions.
"I'm no hypocrite", "I want to set the record straight" or "Should they get away with it?", people might say.
So, will getting it "off your chest" overcome the conflicts you're having with yourself and prevent any external discord it may cause?
Any thoughts from the real world...

Guru Toyer is from South Africa and has mastered Silat at its deepest Islamic meanings and can articulate the pure messages and power of Syariah-guided Silat as different from typically animistic or Buddhistic silat. He is my model for what I want to do with silat here. Do add him as a friend if your interested in learning from him.
